Top brands sponsor BETA International 2007
Some of the most famous names in the equestrian trade have
pledged their support for BETA International 2007.
The 29th running of the world’s foremost exhibition for the
equestrian and country trades takes place on 18-20 February
at the NEC, Birmingham.
Main sponsor, leading bedding brand easibed, returns to BETA
International 2007 for a second consecutive year.
"Our involvement with BETA International has given easibed
high profile worldwide exposure as well as allowing us to communicate
directly with our UK customer base," said Ian McColville, easibed's
national sales manager.
"Early publicity for BETA International 2007 has already played
a valuable role in the successful negotiation of more than one
major export contract." Visiting exhibitors’ stands remains
a core activity for BETA International buyers who can also see
the latest products brought to life via the exhibition’s popular
feature areas.
PONY and Horse & Rider magazines are once again sponsoring
the Fashion Show, while clipping and trimming products supplier
Wahl (UK) continues to lend its name to the Horse Demonstration
Arena.
Renowned for its friendly atmosphere, BETA International is
the perfect place to network and socialise with new and established
business contacts.
The Dermoline Coffee Shop and Horse & Hound Champagne & Seafood
Bar are both popular meeting places which their respective sponsors
are again supporting during BETA International 2007.
Clothing label Caldene's sponsorship comprises the provision
of highly practical carrier bags to all visitors. "BETA International
must have among the most loyal band of sponsors in the exhibition
industry," said Claire Thomas, commercial manager of exhibition
organiser EMC.
"Their continued support demonstrates tremendous commitment
to both BETA International and the vitality of the wider equestrian
industry."
BETA International organiser EMC is a wholly-owned subsidiary
of the BETA Group.

40m investment for BETA International venue
The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK the
venue for BETA International is undergoing a £40 million improvement
programme.
The latest upgrades to the NEC’s restaurants follow an £8 million
revamp of its Piazza area, while £2 million has been invested
in car park resurfacing work. The project is part of a three-year
plan.
"The first phase of our improvements has been a great success,"
said Paul Thandi, recently appointed CEO of the NEC Group. "We
will now continue with our investment programme, improving the
fabric and service of the NEC."
BETA International has been based at the NEC since 1995. The
UK’s premier exhibition centre, it offers free parking for up
to 22,000 cars, plentiful nearby hotel accommodation and excellent
links via motorway, rail and Birmingham International Airport
to anywhere in the world.
BETA International occupies three interconnecting halls within
the NEC, all on one level and therefore providing easy and convenient
access to visitors and exhibitors.
Since it was opened by Her Majesty The Queen in 1976, the NEC
has staged more than 3,000 exhibitions in its 21 halls that
cover 200,000 square metres – equivalent to 26 football pitches.
Each year, the venue attracts four million visitors to around
600 other events including Crufts dog show, the Horse of the
Year Show and Supreme Cat Show. A Pavarotti concert in 2002
remains the NEC’s highest grossing concert.
BETA International 2007 takes place at the NEC, Birmingham,
